What is Matter, and do these smart blinds support it?
Matter is the universal smart-home standard that lets devices from different brands work together. HT Smart Shades support Matter natively, so they connect cleanly to a Matter-based smart home.

Who makes HT Smart Shades?
HT Blinds makes them. We've manufactured custom window coverings in Metro Vancouver for 25 years, and every shade is designed and fabricated in our own facility — our headquarters in Surrey, BC. The motors are direct-sourced from the manufacturer, and because the shade and its motor are specified together in the same building, the pairing is settled before anything is cut.
Can HT Smart Shades open and close on a schedule?
Yes. Set the schedule in the app and the shades run it on their own — open in the morning, close at dusk, follow the sun through the afternoon. Scenes group several shades into one command, so a room, a floor, or the whole home moves at once. Any shade can still be overridden from the app, a remote, or a wall keypad.
What happens if a smart shade motor stops working after installation?
You call us, and our own crew comes out to service it. The shade was built, installed, and programmed by the same team that specified its motor, so there is no runaround between separate companies — the people who set up your shade are the people who repair it. Service is covered by the HT Worry-Free Warranty.
